The AAH issue!

"AAH" stands for Action Against Homelessness

It's important for us to make clear to those who have never experienced homelessness or even extreme poverty. To those who are privileged enough to have never had to struggle to find accommodations..

That homelessness is something that can happen to almost anyone. It's not only a phenomenon that happens to people of unsound mind or person's who have a drug dependency issue. Anyone can lose their job, business and as a direct result their financial instability can cause them to lose their home.

In addition to that even working person's who are earning can find it difficult to acquire, especially in overcrowded cities, suitable, safe and affordable housing options.

Most governments seem to have a long-term perspective, making efforts more with homeowners than with those who rent or lease for short term and residents who may move around and change location more frequently.

What they often seem to fail to recognise about homeowners is that the rental market is still relevant to them also. As they may also want the flexibility of being able to rent or lease their property at some point in time. They may need to change location for some specific purpose, they may need to travel for work. They may need to rent an alternative location that is more convenient. There are many reasons why the rental market is in need of assessment.

Are the current market rents, the standard of property to let sensible? Are the costs of renting feasible to person's on an average income?

There are many questions that need answers! If we are to comprehensively analyse these issues.

Initially this concept was tied to a hierarchical system where the Monarch or ‘Lord’ held ultimate ownership.  There were lesser Nobles and Barons who would manage and rent out portions of the land.  Over the years the term has evolved to refer to anyone who owns and rents out property, regardless of their social standing.  Source: Google In modern terms a ‘landlord’ is typically an individual or entity that owns a property and leases it to a tenant for rent, often as a business venture.  My opinion is that this term is out of place in  modern society and gives ordinary persons association with a title to which they are not suited.  There is absolutely no reason to give a title to someone who owns or manages a property. Most often in the City of London especially, very few people actually own the ...
